Queer Allyship Training is a campus-wide program designed to visibly identify students, staff, and faculty peers who support the LGBTQ population, understand some of the issues facing LGBTQ individuals, and are aware of the various LGBTQ resources on campus and in the community.

The training session seeks to provide a foundation of knowledge needed to be in effective allyship to LGBTQ students and those questioning their sexuality and/or gender; opportunities to build the capacity of participants to help create an inclusive spaces for LGBTQ community members; and campus members who are comfortable with LGBTQ students approaching them to talk about LGBTQ related issues, or to help students find campus or local resources.

Campus-wide trainings are offered multiple times every semester, but training sessions can be arranged for other groups if requested. To schedule a training for your department, staff, or team, please contact Jana Ashbrook at jana@humboldt.edu.
